Peachtree Street Recreation Center

The 23,000-square foot building, formerly known as the Edgewood Community Developmental School, is the new home (as of late 2025) of Goldsboro Parks & Recreation. Peachtree Street Recreation Center features a large auditorium, kitchen, cafeteria, meeting rooms, program rooms, Pottery studio, and also serves as office space for the majority of the administrative staff within the department. This new home fills the void that was left as we departed Herman Park Center, which had been a staple of the Goldsboro Parks & Recreation department for over 60 years, and we are excited to rejuvenate our programs in this new space.
